Croatian Language and Culture for Foreign Speakers (HIKING)
The lifelong learning programme with ECTS credits, Croatian Language and Culture for Foreign Speakers (HIKING), is intended for learners who wish to acquire the Croatian language and develop intercultural competence with the aim of social integration.
This programme, part of the UNIRI CLASS strategic micro-qualification, aims to enable participants to engage actively in the community, gain a deeper understanding of local customs and traditions, and foster strong interpersonal relationships. For those wishing to continue their education and professional development in different fields, knowledge of the Croatian language and culture can be essential for accessing educational resources, institutions, and academic programmes. The Croatian Language and Culture for Foreign Speakers (HIKING) programme supports learners in acquiring Croatian as a second and foreign language and in exploring Croatian culture, offering opportunities for personal and professional growth as well as broadening horizons through study and research
→ It can be taken at beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels. Upon completion, participants receive a certificate with 30 ECTS credits per level. The list of courses/modules is presented in a tabular form below.

The program can be delivered live, online, and hybrid, depending on the specific group of participants who have expressed interest in attending it.
