Yesterday, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences was visited by Mr. Mladen Barać, State Secretary at the Ministry of Demography and Immigration. In addition to working meetings at the Dean’s Office and the Rijeka School of Croatian Studies, he also met with a group of Ministry scholarship recipients and listened to the challenges faced by descendants of Croatian emigrants in their efforts to integrate into Croatian society. The support provided by the Ministry of Demography and Immigration regarding legal status and other administrative matters gives scholarship recipients a sense of welcome and strengthens their motivation to learn the language and remain in Croatia
