Learning the Croatian language
Intensive course
The Intensive Course in Croatian as a Second and Foreign Language comprises 60 teaching hours per semester (2 x 2 hours per week) and awards 4 ECTS credits.
Its objectives are to develop communication skills in Croatian, including oral and written expression, familiarization with Croatian at all language levels, vocabulary acquisition, listening and reading comprehension, and the ability to produce appropriate utterances in specific communication situations. The course is available at beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels.

Škola hrvatskoga jezika, kulture i civilizacije može se održati u različitim terminima tijekom akademske godine, a program se može upisati na početnom, srednjem i naprednom stupnju.
The School of Croatian Language, Culture, and Civilization can be organized at different times during the academic year. It is available at beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels.
Beginner level – 60 teaching hours per course
- Language practice – 50 teaching hours
- Croatian culture and civilization – 5 teaching hours
- Practical classes and field trips – 5 teaching hours
Intermediate level – 60 teaching hours per course
- Language practice – 45 teaching hours
- Croatian culture and civilization – 10 teaching hours
- Practical classes and field trips – 5 teaching hours
Advanced level – 60 teaching hours per course
- Language exercises – 40 teaching hours
- Croatian Culture and Civilization – 10 teaching hours
- Practical classes and field trips – 5 teaching hours
- Selected lectures in Croatian – 5 teaching hours
