Acquiring Croatian as a Second and Foreign Language
The lifelong learning programme with ECTS credits, Acquiring Croatian as a Second and Foreign Language (OHRIJ), provides opportunities for training and professional development in the field of teaching Croatian as a second and foreign language, as well as in effective social interaction with foreign speakers in educational contexts at all levels of the Croatian school system.
The programme runs over two semesters. Each semester consists of three courses, each worth 15 ECTS credits, totaling six courses and 30 ECTS credits. The course sequence is fixed, following the principles of progression and functionality.
Courses are designed and sequenced to build learners’ knowledge and competencies by combining theoretical and practical insights from language, culture, tradition, literature, and film, thereby highlighting the significance of these elements in teaching Croatian as a second and foreign language.
Information on the launching of the programme in the current academic year, including its delivery format (in-person, online, or hybrid), will be published in the News section.
The program can be delivered live, online, and hybrid, depending on the specific group of participants who have expressed interest in attending it.
